Hydrotour: Six Billion humans to save water

« Hey, what about travelling around the World?
- Ok, but under one condition: it has to mean something.
«

And that’s how Loïc and Geoffroy, young and good-looking ;) , started their engagement for water. No question of being afraid of getting wet! 15 months, 34 countries, hundreds of meetings, thousands of users following their paths, around an important theme: water. Turning the tap, it’s easy for us. For millions of people around the world, access to water is a source of problems, whether for drinking or eating, because water is missing or is left untreated. Give up? Never! What interests them, are the solutions brought by people, and the world does not lack of examples. More than six billion people on Earth? They are as many actors and solutions who can save water. What about meeting them with our two water explorers? Follow us!

Yangtze Expedition

After Hydrotour, their world tour for water, and Loïc and Geoffroy went for a new challenge: the descent of Asia’s largest river, the Yangtze-Kiang. They travelled in five months the river from its source in the Tibetan highlands to its mouth in Shanghai. They crossed China from West to East to realise one important fact: water access determines the development. From Yurts to buildings, yaks to big cars… Water is the resource that shapes our the daily lives. What is the role of the river? What do Chinese think about the river? Discover the land of contrasts and vastness, a simple idea stays: « To ensure sustainable economic and societal development, humans must preserve the water resources available for them. »

Kashgar Expedition, on the trail of blue gold

But what do these two French, driving their sidecar, in the middle of Central Asia? Are they completely lost or completely mad? Nope, they are simply looking for the blue gold! Our two brothers have decided to retrace the mythic route of the Silk Roads, and they know very well what they are doing (well almost!) From China to France, through the former Soviet Republic, from Turkey to Europe, they dive again into the water: the one nomads drink, the one used by farmers to irrigate, and the one that ends up in our shirts and our jeans. What as sacred journey travelled by the small molecule of H2O… This journey is also the one of humans, who change from nomadic lifestyle to a global consumer society. For this incredible expedition, Geoffroy and Loïc drove 15 500 km in their sidecar for 4 months, a leap through space and time, it makes the mouth water, right?!
